Crew Peligrosos Premiere “Medayork”

A few months ago we did a story on Medellin based hip hop group Crew Peligrosos and a few days ago they premiered their new video “Medayork” at the 2011 Shock music awards (Colombia’s music awards show). The song is about the similarity of young, hungry rappers from  New York who make bigger than life hip hop dreams come true  and the barrio strife and the hip hop movement coming  out of Medellin. Their music, message, and talent have won the Crew a lot of attention including visits from hip hop producers and artists from around the world. Add to this the solid international reputation they have gained through their Cuatro Elementos B-Boy breakdancing crew it has been a big year for Peligrosos.

The video captures Crew Peligrosos on their home turf in barrio Aranjuez, riding the Medellin Metro, and the Cuatro Elementos B-Boys. Keep a close eye on these guys as their new album is coming out soon and was produced Toy Selectah who has worked with such artists as: Calle 13, M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, Cypress Hill, Manu Chao, Diplo and more.
