Juanes Plays Peace Concert in Medellin

Peace One Day, a global initiative bringing concerts of peace, came to Medellin on September 21, 2010.

In the photo below you can see the mayor of Medellin, Alonso Salazar, speaking alongside members of Elite Hip Hop, Crew Peligrosos, Doctor Krapula, and Colombian rock star Juanes. The concert was held in Comuna 13, a sector of Medellin dominated by drug violence and gang killings, to take a stand against the the violence in Medellin’s isolated west side barrio.
