The first of Colombiamoda’s three day fashiongasm started today and while millions of dollars of textile transactions took place, hot models strut their stuff to walls of wide-eyed onlookers. In case Colombiamoda is news to you it is the biggest fashion show in the country and it takes place every July, definitively putting Colombian fashion on the international map. The fair brings in heavyweights such as Vogue and Vanity Fair; and of course everyone from the BBC news to The Arepa Magazine, even President Uribe (see below). There is a whole lot of shaking hands and double takes of hot models in bikinis as well. It is a pure fashiongasm as brands showcase their clothes, photographers click away non-stop, and players quickly scribble down digits on folded up fashion flyers.
The fair goes on for two more days (July 28, 29) so there is still time to come by and check out the fashion and get into the fashiongasm.
